Juanita Walker Junkins, age 96, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital.

Juanita was born in Thomaston, Georgia on February 17, 1926.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Frances “Iona” and Wayland Ray Walker; daughter, Karen Jetton; brother, Ernest Walker; and sister, Vivian Harris.  Juanita was owner of Junkins Tax Service in Griffin and was a member of Oak Hill Church in Griffin. She enjoyed spending time with her family and church family.

Juanita is survived by her son, Paul Junkins and his wife, Susan; grandchildren, Stacy Jetton, John (Rialyn) Jetton, Steven (Rhodalynn) Jetton, Ashley (Ryan) Ridenour, Matthew Junkins; great grandchildren, Wesley Jetton, Whitney Nifong, Brittany “Bee” Jetton; seven great-great grandchildren; brother Ray (Sara) Walker and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Junkins will be Friday, September 9, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury.  John Nance will officiate.  Interment will follow at Southview Cemetery in Thomaston.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Oak Hill Church in Griffin.
